Bill's 1969 Dodge Coronet

VIN WH23G9Exxxxx

Originally 383/727, now 318/904.
Holley 4bbl, Edelbrock Performer, rusty-ass Hooker Supercomps, Flowmasters.

Pretty sure this car was a pile of spare parts before I got it, there were a lot of mix-n-match bits going on.
When I got it there was a busted water pump and bad electrical.

Stuff I've done:
Radiator swap
New alternator
Various wiring fixes for safety and grounding.
Battery cables
Carb replacement
Fuel tank cleaning, painting.
Fabbed a little throttle-pull-cable bracket.

Plans include:
New steering wheel - I have this old Grant POS wheel right now.
Steering box replace
383/727 swap, plus driveshaft
Super stock springs
Sure grip of some kind. I see a 3:55 unit on CL for $200...

There's a little rust hole going in the passenger rocker, that's gonna need to get done sometime.

This car was factory gold, it's been purple and now red.

A little more got done, but this should be it for a while. Pulled the motor last weekend, and beat the crap out of the offending header with a hammer. Actually, i over-cleared it, but it'll still flow fine. I took my cheap-o Dremel and ground down the pad on the steering box where the header was hitting as well. It's the pad where the PS fluid-return fitting attaches, and there's a couple mystery bolts sticking out of it. But the raised pad has plenty of metal around the edges that's extraneous, along with banging into the header pipe, so away it goes.

Also, swapped in a Mopar lightweight mini-starter. The size and weight difference is pretty amazing. Haven't fired it, we finished the swap, dropped the motor back down, and it's been sitting all week waiting for me to get back to her. which is this evening. So she oughtta be running tonight. couple pics:

Here we go again. Scott, remember this view?

Here's the motor in the air. Header is off, starter is out.

Ahhh, victory. See you on the road!
