In high school my Dad drove this '56 Chevy.
My Uncle Tom's '56 Chevy. He did some street racing back, and had a pretty fast car. He later got into professional drag racing.
You can see why it was so fast in this picture....

They hit the races all the time...
And finally, they saved up enough money to get their first new car....
This picture is taken on Lake Geneva, when it froze over and you could drive your car out onto it....
