Cruised over to some of my brother Relic's house to do some engine tuning. By the end of the evening it was running like a scalded cat!

I drove it around the day before, and it was running like crap. Spooked some horses, downtown Livermore was doin' some Christmas thing. Now that it runs decent, I can get on to the next thing to fix. Exhaust, maybe? Cut down and reinstall the Windshield? A roof?

Flamed my Model A Coupe

Last Thursday night, my buddies and I were drinking mass quantities of beer, so we laid out some flames on my '31 Coupe.

This was my first time doing flames, we did it for fun, and it's only rattle can. It's not perfect, but I think it turned out cool. Here's some pictures.

Stuffing a rattlecan rebuild 440 HP into it, and some other necessary clean up!!

Leakdown test on the old 383 revealed than half the cylinders were at 80% leakdown, and the other half at 50%. This is one shot 383! Take a close look, every exhaust valve whacked every piston, severely!!

Always replace your timing chain. At one point I pulled the timing chain cover of and the chain had skipped several teeth! I'm not sure how it even ran, or that it didn't bend every single exhaust valve!!

The Model A Coupe wearing some new primer, '32 shell trim, and another big block Chrysler!!

Last Turlock swap I scored front and rear fenders for it for $70!! Model A Mike down the street hooked me up with the brackets and running boards for it, so I might try out fenders! I don't know what it is about the fenders, I love the stripped down hot rod look. As Pete said, maybe I just need to try them out so I can know for sure.

Never seen a bright red big block Chrysler before!! I got this 440 I got from another local car guy Terry. The guy he got it from did a nice red spraybomb rebuild on it. I added a set of Cal Custom valve covers and Edelbrock Torker, and used the headers and carb off the 383. I had a Mallory distributor lying around from the 440 that was in the Challenger, but I scored a Vertex Magneto of the eBay that I'm going to run.
