Traded one 1956 for a 1956 of a different flavor

I was cruising Craigslist searching for a Tri-Five Chevy station wagon when this little car popped up. I fired him off an email seeing if he’d be interested in a trade for the 1956 Ford f-100 I scored for free a few months back. After checking each others cars out a deal was struck.

I’m pretty stoked! Plans for now are just to make it a beater driver and start driving ASAP. It’s a ton of work but I have low expectations!

I’ve gotten a drive train lined up for it. The Chevy 350 that was in my Pop’s 1957 Chevy will get a new timing chain, and old Edelbrock intake and some dress up bits. I have a scattershield, Chevelle Norm hooked me up with a flywheel and pressure plate, and I’ve had a World Class Camaro T-5 tranny stashed for good project.

The trunk lid will be scrapped most likely as it feels like it’s got 50 pounds of Bondo in it and one of the previous owners welded skirts or panels onto the quarters. I’ll see what I’m working with after I buzz it all down.
