Front Sway Bars for Challengers and 'Cudas

Control Arm Problem

The factory Performance cars had a front swaybar where the end links mounted to tabs welded to the lower control arm. Now, anyone who has tried to add a front sway bar to your car has often had this problem with their lower control arms. The tabs aren't there! When parts donars were available (and affordable!), this wasn't a problem. Now you rarely see an E in the wrecking yards, modifying the arm has become a much better alternative option.

I cut a 3 inches section off of a piece of 2x3" thickwall tubing, and the made a diagonal cut so that I ended up with two tabs. After finding the correct OEM location, I welded 'em on to the control arm. Hopefully my welds will be strong enough, and it sure beats looking at those ugly bolt-on adaptors Hellwig sends out with their aftermarket swaybars!
